According to comScore, in October 2006, Google captured 45.4% of the U.S. search market and Yahoo! kept its second place with 28.2% market share of U.S. searches. Followed by MSN (11.7%), Ask Network (5.8%) and Time Warner Network (5.4%).

According to Nielsen//Netratings, Yahoo!’s searches have increased by 30% from last year, while Google only increased by 23%. MSN/Windows Live Search fell 8% and Ask.com jumped 25%.
